A solid eighteen carat yellow gold chain, or necklace. This chain has a different look to it, more of a "Georgian", antique feel. It is an open link with the exterior edge of each alternating link having series of engraved lines giving it a more antique, detailed look.  The other alternating links are plain. It is a beautiful quality, wide round link chain. The necklace features a larger size open sprung link style clasp, making it easy to take on and off. The link is quite unusual and is thick, but for the size it is a deceptively light weight. It has the appearance of being heavy, but due to the links being hollow, it is not, and as such it is very comfortable to wear.

This is a very high quality chain, as mentioned before it is deceptive, weighing nearly eighteen grams, hallmarked on and around the clasp. It is eighteen and a half inches in length, so a very comfortable size, wearing a little closer to the neck. European made, circa 1960's.
